BBQ Sauce Memphis Style

Memphis BBQ Sauce

Ingredients
1 T. black pepper, finely ground
1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 T. canola oil
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. cayenne (optional)
2 tsp. celery salt
2 T. chili powder
1/4 cup cider vinegar
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. liquid smoke (optional)
1 T. onion powder
1/2 cup prepared mustard
2 cups tomato ketchup
3 T. Worcestershire Sauce

Cooking Time
Approximately 30 minutes

Yield: About 3 cups
In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients except the oil.
Bring
to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar.

Reduce the heat and simmer for 25 minutes, stirring
occasionally.
With a whisk, blend in the oil until incorporated
